TSRC iRacing GT4 Series S1 Review

The inaugural TSRC iRacing GT4 Series was a resounding success, marked by intense rivalries that lasted until the final race of the six-week calendar. This championship featured the largest iRacing grid since the inception of our hosted events, allowing for strong competition within both the Pro and Am classes.

Drivers faced numerous challenges as they competed on a diverse range of circuits, each with its own unique characteristics and difficulties. From the narrow streets of Long Beach to the high-speed corners of Mosport, and the unfamiliar territory of the newly released Circuito de Navarra, every race demanded skill and adaptability.

As the season progressed, only one champion could be crowned in each class. In the Pro class, Volkan Bakirdan emerged victorious, showcasing his ability to win even when the odds seemed against him. Notably, he secured wins in the wet conditions at Nürburgring and executed a strategic masterclass at Mosport, where he won after starting in fourth place. In the Am class, Ian Peiffer proved to be a deserving champion, demonstrating remarkable consistency by finishing no lower than second throughout the entire season.

Looking ahead to the next season with a fresh calendar, many drivers are eager to return and improve on their results. Perhaps we'll even see some new champions emerge.
